We have a set uniform which we require all pupils to wear. Please be aware that we do not allow t-shirts etc or jazz pants to be worn in any class. In very cold weather, younger dancers may wear a cross-over cardigan. We expect older dancers to warm-up!!
Also, from a safety viewpoint, all jewellary (except small stud earrings) and watches must be removed before class.
Hair should also be dressed appropriately - for further guidance see below.

Hair
Correct grooming and coming to class with hair in an appropriate style is important in a number of ways:
*Firstly it helps the dancers to 'feel' prepared
*It keeps hair out of the face
*Prevents injury when performing fast turns
*And above all helps the teacher to see good line and correct posture.
Therefore, we insist on neat and appropriate hairstyles. For the Baby & Primary classes, hair should be worn tied back from the face and whenever possible in a tidy style such as a plait.
From Grade 1 upwards we insist on a bun for classical class.
For Tap and Modern a similar tidy, 'hair up' style is required.
Buns are very easy to do - we can give lessons in this too! Most children from Grade 3 up should be able to do their own hair.
